Clifftop Coffee – a love story of four cups

How it all began...

Peru Mountain Brew

Sitting under a tin roof on a tiny coffee farm in the Humantay Mountains, I'm sweaty and exhausted from an 8 hour hike. Our host begins to crank the lever of the coffee grinder to prepare the sweetest, nuttiest coffee I've ever tasted. It brings me back to life.

Colombian Cupping

I visit coffee farms in the impossibly beautiful, lush terrain of the Zona Cafeteria, teeming with wildlife and coffee shrubs as far as the eye can see. We sample their incredible diversity of coffees with a newfound appreciation of the sheer effort involved in production. A seed is sown.

Vietnam: Iced coffee with condensed milk

I'm wired and heavy from another sickly sweet delicious street coffee. Is it the caffeine or my travel companion sitting the other side of me on a miniature stool that's giving me the jitters?

Portugal: Bitter Sweet

I move to Portugal. Life is great, well, apart from the global pandemic... and the coffee. I decide to take matters into my own hands and start roasting my own beans in a popcorn roaster.

Clifftop Coffee is born.

Today I roast on a fully controllable, high quality roaster producing delicious results full of flavour, caffeine and a story behind every cup.

All coffees are sourced seasonally, and I roast in small batches to maintain freshness and ensure maximum flavour in your cup.

I only work with importers and farmers with a traceable supply chain, sourced fairly and from farms respected for their environmental practice.
